Job summary

Pacific Architectural Wood Products (PAWP) is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator / Industrial Machinery Mechanic to operate and maintain computer-controlled tools used to machine metal, wood, and other materials. The role includes setup, routine maintenance, and quick repairs to minimize downtime.

Ideal candidates will have a strong mechanical background, ability to read blueprints, and experience with diagnostic testing on equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience required.
• Experience with CNC machines or industrial equipment is preferred.
• Proficient with measurement tools and basic electrical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery.
• Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components.
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
• Disassemble machinery to remove parts for repairs.
• Reassemble equipment after inspections, testing, or repairs.
• Examine parts for defects such as breakage or excessive wear.
• Record repairs and maintenance performed.
• Operate newly repaired machinery to verify adequacy of repairs.
• Record parts or materials used and requisition new parts as necessary.
• Observe and test operation of machinery to diagnose malfunctions using voltmeters or other testing devices.
• Analyze test results and machine error messages to diagnose problems.
• Study blueprints or manuals for installation or operation guidance.
• Cut and weld metal to repair or fabricate parts and equipment.
• Demonstrate equipment functions to machine operators.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks from an automated calendar system.
• Attend to Line-Down situations by urgently fixing equipment to reduce downtime.
• Other duties as assigned.
