Tosoh Quartz, a global leader in precision silica glass products, is hiring a CNC Operator II in Portland, OR. You will set up and run CNC mills, inspect parts, and maintain equipment to meet exacting specs.

The role requires attention to detail and proficiency with blueprints and precision tools. You will work with calibrated tools to verify tolerances, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading and following detailed work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail; ability to see small details, finish variations and defects.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Experience using precision measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of Machine Mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production machining equipment including vertical and horizontal CNC mills.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
• Produce and detail various-sized quartz parts to conform to specifications.
• Verify part or process conformance to specification; calibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production.
• Perform detail work such as waxing, dewaxing, chamfering, or cleaning of parts.
• Maintain equipment and perform daily and monthly machine maintenance.
• Maintain a safe, organized and clean work area.
• Monitor production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.

Detect and correct minor machine malfunctions and perform daily and monthly machine maintenance as directed.Maintain a safe, organized and clean work area.Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.Who you are.Minimum requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.3 + year operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.Experience reading and following detailed work instructions.Strong attention to detail.
