Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Ability to set tool height with assistance
• Typically 90 days CNC trainee or 1 year CNC operator experience
• Basic computer and math skills required
• Some experience reading drawings is helpful
• Must read and understand work instructions in English
• Able to communicate clearly in English (spoken and written)
• Able to interpret technical drawings for inspection

Responsibilities

• Load parts and operate at least one CNC machine
• Complete all processes, checklists, and procedures
• Identify and assemble cutting tools and tool holders
• Learn tool wear differences and refer to documentation
• Understand start lines in programs
• Gain basic knowledge of M codes
• Inspect parts for proper machining and finish
• Troubleshoot machine issues with guidance
• Record inspection measurements per QC plans
• Read CMM reports and adjust parts as needed
• Support 5S and maintain clean work area
• On-site attendance required
• May work in other areas or overtime as needed
