Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is hiring CNC Machine Operators at our Newington, NH production shops to run a variety of CNC equipment. Must have CNC experience and be able to independently load parts and operate machines on 1st, 2nd, or Weekend shifts.

Ideal candidates will follow process documentation, perform required inspections with calipers, micrometers, gages, and read CMM reports. Strong math and basic computer skills are required to ensure quality and efficiency on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 90 days as CNC Trainee or 1 year CNC Machine Operator experience.
• Basic computer and math skills required.

Hiring immediately for CNC Machine Operators to run a variety of CNC equipment in our production shops in New Hampshire. MUST HAVE CNC EXPERIENCE.

Available shifts:

• Newington
  • 1st Shift 5:00am - 3:30pm M-TH
  • 2nd Shift 5:00pm - 3:30am M-TH + 20% Shift Diff
  • Weekend Shift 5:30am - 5:45pm FSS (paid 40 hrs) + 20% Shift Diff

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Independently load parts and operate a minimum of one type of CNC equipment.
• Complete all operational processes, checklists, control plans and procedures as required.
• Correctly identify and assemble cutting tools and tool holder assemblies based on existing process documentation.
• Learn and understand the difference between types of tool wear. (See Operator Expectations for more details)
• Identify the correct start line in the program.
• Gain basic working/functional knowledge of M codes.
• Look at parts to ensure they were machined properly. This would include surface finish conditions, missing features, etc.
• Basic troubleshooting of the machine (with assistance) if there is an error code and escalation issues to the Lead or Supervisor.
• Complete all required inspection measurements as defined on quality control plans using hand tools, gage pins, caliper, micrometer, and Micro-Hite measurement tools. Must properly load and run equator. Learn to read CMM reports and reports from the equator and adjust parts.

Education/Experience & Skills:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• List the experience and skills required for the position.
• Ability to set the tool to the correct tool height with assistance from others.
• Typically requires 90 days as a CNC Trainee and or one (1) year of demonstrated CNC Machine Operator experience.
• Basic computer and math skills are required.
