Job summary

Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions in Indiana is seeking a CNC Operator I to run manual and CNC machines, producing small to medium components per program and specifications, either as finished parts or as elements of larger assemblies. You will use precision measuring tools, maintain a clean work area, follow safety rules, and complete manufacturing paperwork.

Responsibilities

  • Operates manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes
  • Positions parts in specified locations using a variety of fastening devices
  • Operates hand-held tools, electrical tools, and/or pneumatic tools
  • Operates lift equipment as needed
  • Uses precision measuring tools as required
  • Ability to recognize various material types used in department and adjust equipment if needed
  • Ability to recognize worn tooling and change in machine as required
  • Verifies accuracy of completed product or batch inspections
  • Reports defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or completed products that are not in compliance with company and/or customer specifications to the Department Lead
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
  • Completes all necessary paperwork as required, including in process or carbon copy production sheets

Key Responsibilities

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and may require hearing protection in specific locations.
