Position Summary

Efficiently operate CNC mills and lathes for production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Operate CNC machines to manufacture parts according to drawings and instructions.
  2. Inspect parts to ensure dimensions meet specifications using micrometers, calipers, or other inspection devices.
  3. Use correct tooling to meet production quotas.
  4. Change inserts and end mills as needed.
  5. Maintain a clean work area and keep machines clean.
  6. Demonstrate a willingness to learn.
  7. Complete all documentation per part requirements.
  8. Work effectively as part of a team.
  9. Maintain a positive work attitude.
  10. Perform all tasks as required in a Safety Sensitive position.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Entry-level 0-1 year experience in operating CNC machines preferred
  • Previous machine shop experience is a plus
  • Basic math skills; knowledge of geometry and trigonometry preferred
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Experience with CNC, lathes, mills, measuring devices preferred
  • Basic computer skills
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, standing, walking, twisting
  • Use of vibrating tools
  • Clear speech and hearing
  • Repetitive finger, wrist, elbow, shoulder, neck movements
  • Precise dexterity
  • Ability to read and analyze documents
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Reaching from shoulder level or below
  • Visual inspection and measurement
  • Frequent use of power tools and machinery
Work Environment
  • Exposure to smoke, dust, wet/damp conditions
