Job summary

Cadrex is seeking a CNC Operator I to run manual and CNC machines per specifications, producing components for assembly. The role requires basic machining knowledge, attention to detail, and adherence to safety procedures.

Onsite in Washington, this entry-level position supports a variety of tooling and inspection tasks, with potential for growth in a collaborative team environment and standard Monday–Friday scheduling.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Basic computer skills for machine operation and data entry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evening and weekend shifts as required.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Operates manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes.
  • Positions parts in specified locations using a variety of fastening devices.
  • Operates hand-held tools, electrical tools, and/or pneumatic tools.
  • Operates lift equipment as needed.
  • Uses precision measuring tools as required.
  • Ability to recognize material types and adjust equipment accordingly.
  • Identify worn tooling and adjust machine as needed.
  • Verifies accuracy of completed product or batch inspections.
  • Reports defects or non-conformities to the Department Lead.
  • Maintains clean and orderly work area and follows safety regulations.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork including in-process production sheets.

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a CNC Operator I who will operate both manual and CNC machines according to program and product specifications to produce small to medium sized components as either as a finished product or as part of another larger product to be assembled.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operates manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes
  • Positions parts in specified locations using a variety of fastening devices
  • Operates hand-held tools, electrical tools, and/or pneumatic tools
  • Operates lift equipment as needed
  • Uses precision measuring tools as required
  • Ability to recognize various material types used in department and adjust equipment if needed
  • Ability to recognize worn tooling and change in machine as required
  • Verifies accuracy of completed product or batch inspections
  • Reports defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or completed products that are not in compliance with company and/or customer specifications to the Department Lead
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
  • Completes all necessary paperwork as required, including in process or carbon copy production sheets
