Job summary

API Heat Transfer in Iron Ridge, Wisconsin is seeking a CNC Operator for the first shift to join a lean production team focused on precision machining with the Haas VF6. You will program, set up and operate the milling center, read and modify programs, and inspect parts using standard metrology equipment.

You will uphold safety policies and API Heat Transfer procedures, and comply with ISO 9001 quality standards to ensure high-quality parts.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read and alter programs.
• Minimum two years of related combined experience.
• Basic setup experience on lathes and machining centers.

Responsibilities

• Program, set-up and operate Haas VF6 milling center.
• Visualize and implement machining best practices to complete parts.
• Create and adjust programs, tool settings, and fixture setups.
• Apply knowledge of material machinability to select cutting speeds and feeds.
• Perform part inspection with micrometers, calipers, height indicators, etc.
• Comply with safety policies and API Heat Transfer policies.
• Adhere to ISO 9001 quality standards and procedures.
