Job summary

Worthington Armstrong Venture (WAVE) in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to support production of custom aluminum extrusions by cutting material according to blueprints and technical drawings.

The role requires setting up equipment, reading specifications, performing changeovers, measuring finished parts for tolerances, and contributing to LEAN manufacturing initiatives. Excellent safety practices and teamwork are essential; background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred knowledge and experience of machinery in manufacturing environment or similar.
LEAN manufacturing, 6S and Six Sigma experience preferred.
Experience in a fast-paced, high-performance manufacturing environment preferred.
Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Able to stand 8–10 hours per day at the work area.
Background check required.

Responsibilities

Cut materials according to blueprints/technical drawings.
Set up equipment and lay out fabrication project from blueprints.
Measure components and finished parts to ensure tolerances.
Perform roll tooling changeovers and maintain equipment, supplies and machinery.
Troubleshoot machinery and make adjustments for successful completion of projects.
Visually inspect extrusions against drawings and report defects.
Participate in LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
Maintain clean and orderly work areas; wear PPE.
Contribute to effective communication and WAVE culture.
