Job summary

Steel Tech Enterprises in Indiana is seeking CNC Operators for all shifts to join our on-site manufacturing team. You will operate CNC machines, change tooling, and perform quality checks against blueprints, while documenting results and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math, and the ability to read blueprints and measuring tools. A willingness to learn and reliability are highly valued, with comprehensive benefits and a new wage scale.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and be trained on machine operator related tasks.
• General skills with hand and air tools.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read different measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate a CNC Machine.
• Change tooling within machine.
• Perform quality checks using Quality Department approved tools to determine accuracy to blueprint.
• Inform the necessary supervisor/lead person of any equipment-related problems or concerns that may affect the quality of parts produced.
• Clocking on jobs and parts accurately.
• Follow instructions from all Steel Tech Enterprises and equipment documentation, including Shop Traveler, equipment manuals, and blueprints.
• Maintain all required documentation.
• Exhibits consistent safe working habits.
• Wears all required Personal protective Equipment (PPE).
• Maintain clean, clutter-free work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
