POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for building and repairing machinery components based on verbal instructions, drawings, or blueprints. Performs setup, programming, and operates CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, and electrical discharge machine (EDM). Assists Tool Makers as needed.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Receives and interprets verbal instructions, drawings, and blueprints.
  2. Programs and operates CNC machines.
  3. Supports other tool makers as required.
  4. Completes paperwork such as job cards, inspection reports, logs, etc.
  5. Inspects work to ensure machinery and parts meet specifications; reports issues immediately.
  6. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
  7. Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and under control.
  8. Ensures quality and safety of own work and compliance with all company policies.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

Required: High school diploma. Deviations (e.g., more work experience in lieu of education) will be evaluated and approved by the Operations Manager.

Preferred: One year CNC experience.
