Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a CNC operator for a fully onsite role. The position operates during 8pm–6am, Sunday night through Wednesday night, with a $23.66/hour starting rate and a $2.75/hour shift differential for the 3rd shift. Training lasts up to 18 months, with rate increases based on performance.

You will set up CNC machines, measure parts, and adhere to safety standards. Associates must have HS Diploma or GED and complete on‑the‑job training.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines and related equipment.
  • Mount, install, align, and secure tools and fixtures.
  • Change tooling and setups following machining sequences.
  • Handle finished parts and move between cells when required.
  • Measure dimensions to ensure specifications with precision tools.
  • Monitor machines for tool wear and faults; adjust accordingly.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance and proper tool usage.
  • Follow Standard Work instructions and adjust programming as needed.
  • Move between cells as directed by supervisor.
  • Adhere to safety standards and participate in process improvement activities.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform tasks across value stream.

Work Model

This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office. ____________________ Job Description SUMMARY Sets up and operates one or more Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, and other machines, within machine cell. The selected candidate will be offered a pay rate based on prior industrial experience, but not less than $23.66/hour to start. Hourly rate increases every 90 days based on performance within the training period of up to 18 months (depending on prior experience). The shift hours of this position are 8pm - 6am Sunday night - Wednesday night. Associates assigned to 3rd shift will receive $2.75/hr shift differential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Sets–up and operates CNC machine and all other equipment in assigned Cell Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules, using computer network links
  • Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
  • Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences
  • Finished workpieces may be lifted manually or with hoists and cranes
  • Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
  • Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems, as well as monitor control panel displays and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions
  • Fully responsible for preventive maintenance and proper usage of assigned machinery, tools, and component parts in assigned cell
  • Follows Standard Work instructions and makes all programming and mechanical adjustments
  • May move from assigned cell to other cells at discretion of supervisor
  • Adheres to all safety and health standards
  • Participates in Kaizan events and seeks to continuously improve work processes
  • Ability to perform next job below and above in value stream
Critical Competencies
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Basic measuring, math, reading and writing skills
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
  • Knowledge of Standard Process Controls (SPC)
  • Mechanically driven
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
  • Previous experience conducting tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance
  • Ability to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Attention to Detail —careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
Education and Experience Requirements

HS Diploma or GED required 6 to 9 months on the job training or related vocational training program required.

Physical Demand and Work Environment

Work environment includes regular exposure to noise levels at or above 85 decibels, dust particles, light radiation, paint or oil products, and weather changes. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required to be worn during shift. Physical requirements include lifting, bending, kneeling, squatting, arm-hand steadiness, finger dexterity, manual dexterity, control precision, near vision, and hearing sensitivity.
