Job summary

Kreher Steel, A Tube Supply Company in Melrose Park, IL, is seeking a Production Equipment Operator for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM). The role requires solid CNC machining knowledge, manual machining experience preferred, and at least two years of machine operation experience.

You will maintain parts to specs, fill QC forms, run inspections for safety and efficiency, assist startups/shutdowns, and work with shift management to identify improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a machine operator.
• Working knowledge of CNC machining operations and processes.
• G-code experience is a plus.
• Manual machining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain machined parts to required specs and quality requirements
• Fill out production forms and quality control documents
• Perform routine inspections ensuring equipment is functioning safely, properly, and efficiently
• Assist in production startups and shutdowns
• Communicate directly with shift management identifying improvements as needed
• Follow production schedule and other related documents necessary to meet customer orders
• Comply with all HSE, QMS, and corporate policies at Tube Supply
• Perform other duties that may be assigned by management
• Working knowledge of CNC machining operations, processes, programs and setups
• G-M code experience a plus
• Strong mechanical, mathmatical and communication skills

The pay range for this position is $18.00/hr. - $24.00/hr. based on experience.
