CNC Operator (2nd Shift - 4 Day - 10 Hour Shifts)

Walther Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator to join our production team in Fort Smith, AR. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines. This role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to precision, safety, and quality.

This position is for 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
  • Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands for machine operation.
  • Load raw materials and parts onto machines.
  • Conduct test runs to verify outputs meet specifications.
  • Set machines to complete full cycles for batch production.
  • Supervise machine operations and make adjustments to optimize results.
  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure quality standards.
  • Maintain machinery daily to ensure proper functionality.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Proven experience as a CNC operator.
  • Skill in operating CNC machinery, tooling, and measurement tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
  • Basic computer skills, including programming and CAD/CAM knowledge.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong math skills.
  • Attention to detail and results-oriented approach.
  • Good communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
