Job summary

JE Technology Solutions, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to program, set up, and run CNC machinery for precision components per drawings and specs. You will optimize programs, inspect parts, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring ISO quality standards are met.

The role requires advanced CNC programming knowledge, CAM proficiency, and leadership capabilities to mentor junior machinists on the 2nd shift (3:00PM–11:30PM). Onsite in Apopka, FL.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of CNC machining and programming experience in an ISO environment.
  • Strong CAM programming and CNC setup/operation skills.
  • Experience leading or mentoring junior machinists is preferred.
  • Ability to run complex parts to tight tolerances and interpret GD&T.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CAM programming for CNC machinery.
  • Manufacture parts from drawings, including material take-offs, tooling selection, machine setups, operation of CNC machinery, program optimization, and part inspection.
  • Perform in-process and First Article Inspections (FAI).
  • Apply expertise in Fanuc Controls, G & M code, hand program edits, and program merging.
  • Perform tool offset adjustments for wear and nominal part dimensions.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement concepts, including setup reduction, fixture/tooling productivity improvements, and program efficiency enhancements.
  • Utilize Renishaw probes, including manual probe programming using probe macros.
  • Lead other machinists by training, mentoring, and directing the activities of junior machinists.
  • Manage multiple machines simultaneously and/or oversee other machining operations.
  • Create accurate setup sheet information for efficient production.
  • Manufacture fixtures and assist in pilot run program prove-outs, communicating results with the Manufacturing Manager.
  • Perform 100% inspection of new parts to ensure quality standards.
  • Assist with cutting tool selection, upgrades, and testing of new tooling.
  • Interpret detail drawings with a strong understanding of GD&T, true position, and datum structures.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO Quality Systems standards and processes.
  • Apply advanced trigonometry and geometry to solve machining challenges.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Manager.
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00PM to 11:30PM

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in

  • Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining and programming experience, with demonstrated proficiency in Fanuc controls.

  • Strong background in CAM programming and CNC setup/operation.

  • Experience working within ISO quality environments.

  • Previous leadership or mentoring experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to run complex parts to tight tolerances.


Work Location: Onsite. Apopka, FL - Reliable commute to work is required.


Job Type: Full-time


Work Schedule: 2nd Shift. Minimum 40 hours weekly, with willingness to work additional hours as needed to meet project deadlines. Standard workweek is Monday through Friday.
