MacLean-Fogg is hiring a CNC Operator - 2nd Shift at our Sagerstown, PA manufacturing facility. This entry-level trainee role focuses on learning foundational CNC production tasks, machine safety, and quality practices under direct supervision.

You will build hands-on skills while supporting safe, consistent production. As a 2nd shift operator, you will participate in structured training, load/unload materials, and perform basic part checks under guidance.

Qualifications

• No formal education or prior CNC or manufacturing experience is required.
• Ability to learn and follow detailed instructions.
• Commitment to safe work practices and consistent use of required PPE.
• Reliability, consistent attendance, and punctuality.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work cooperatively with trainers and peers.
• Willingness to learn, apply new information, and develop technical CNC skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured training on CNC operations, workplace safety, and quality standards.
• Assist with simple machine operations and the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished parts.
• Follow detailed work instructions and standard processes while working under direct supervision.
• Monitor gauges and learn to use basic measurement tools to perform simple part checks.
• Clean and organize work areas, replenish materials, and support 5S standards.
• Report safety hazards, equipment concerns, and quality issues promptly.
• Follow applicable Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.

• Location: Sagerstown, PA

• Work Arrangement: On-site

• Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM

• Pay: $18/hour

• Other Compensation: $1.00 shift differential

• Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly

• Overtime: Overtime may be required based on business needs.

What You'll Do as a CNC Operator

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• This role involves standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.

• Employees in this role frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.

• The position requires manual dexterity to operate machine controls and handle parts.

• The position requires visual acuity for dimensional inspection and reading equipment displays.

• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment that may include noise, oil, and vibration.

• Consistent use of required personal protective equipment is expected.
