Summary

The CNC operator loads parts into the machine, cycles the machine, and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position involves running production lots, communicating with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintaining a safe, organized, and clean work environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (But not limited to…)

• Load and unload parts into machines.
• Use basic measuring equipment to inspect parts.
• Maintain production rates.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.
• Perform inspection of machined products and maintain inspection logs.
• Follow all safety rules and policies as set forth by OSHA guidelines and Pace Industries policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manual.
• Follow detailed work instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Read drawings or blueprints.
• Inspect products for surface and dimension defects to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
