Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear Inc. in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to set up and run full production cycles on CNC Lathe, Mill, and VTL machines. You will interpret blueprints, optimize performance, and collaborate with quality and production teams.

Qualifications

• Measurement skills with calipers, gauges, and other tools.
• Strong basic math skills for tolerances and offsets.
• Accurate documentation of machining processes and setup data.
• Familiarity with metals, fixtures, lathe/mill tooling, and FANUC controllers.
• Hands-on experience with Doosan or Mori Lathe/VTL/Mill machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run CNC Lathe, Mill, and VTL for turning, milling, drilling, and tapping operations.
• Optimize performance by reducing setup times, maintaining offsets, and maximizing machine utilization.
• Read and interpret blueprints, BOMs, and routing instructions.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and diagnose issues as needed.
• Perform in-process inspections and report non-conformances.
• Collaborate with supervisors, production control, and quality teams to meet production needs.
• Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE.
• Document shift activities and log issues for handoffs.
• Maintain daily preventive maintenance checks on equipment.

What You’ll Do:

• CNC Operation: Set up and run full production cycles on CNC Lathe, Mill, and VTL machines for turning, milling, drilling, and tapping operations
• Optimize Performance: Reduce setup times, maintain offsets, and maximize machine utilization for improved productivity.
• Interpret Blueprints: Read and understand technical drawings, Bill of materials and routing instructions.
• Troubleshoot Programs: Diagnose and adjust CNC programs as needed.
• Inspect Parts: Perform in-process inspections and report any non-conformance issues promptly.
• Collaborate: Communicate with supervisors, managers, production control, and quality teams to resolve issues and align on production needs.
• Ensure Safety: Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE throughout your shift.
• Document Work: Record shift activities and issues for smooth handoffs.
• Maintain Equipment: Conduct daily preventive maintenance checks and log findings.

What You'll Bring:

Your Schedule:

• 2nd Shift, Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
