QPS Employment Group is seeking a CNC Operator in Belvidere, IL for a 1st shift position. Wage is $18.00 per hour with hours 6:00am-2:30pm and potential for hire. Apprentice opportunities are available and a strong mechanical aptitude is valued.

The role involves setup and operation of CNC machinery, routine quality checks, and collaboration with the team to improve workflows. Training programs support technical growth within the manufacturing industry.

Qualifications

• Basic experience with CNC machines or a strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in math, with above-average skills to interpret measurements, decimals, place values.
• Measure machined parts with precision measuring tools
• Experience working on farms or in hands-on, mechanical environments is considered highly beneficial.
• Completion of training programs; preferred not mandatory
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a desire to learn and grow within the manufacturing industry.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. somewhat often throughout shift.
• Ability to stand 8-10 hours a day, bend, twist, stoop, lift.
• Ability to proficiently to read and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC machinery to ensure smooth production workflows.
• Follow detailed technical instructions and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct routine inspections and quality checks to meet production standards.
• Collaborate with team members to improve process efficiency and equipment performance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and machine data.
