Job summary

Teerlink Cabinet is seeking a detail-oriented CNC Operator to set up, run, and maintain nesting routers for hardwood, plywood, MDF and melamine panels in our West Valley City shop. You will read shop drawings and cut lists, ensure tight tolerances for dowel, dado, and shelf-pin drilling, and keep the work area clean while performing routine maintenance.

We offer full-time hours and paid time off. Typical schedule features start times between 6am and 8am with 4-10 hour days or 4-9 plus a Friday

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years CNC operator experience in cabinetry/woodworking.
• Ability to read shop drawings and cut lists.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our custom cabinet shop. In this role, you will set up, run, and maintain our CNC nesting routers to process hardwood, plywood, MDF, and melamine panels. You will translate cabinet nested sheets into precisely machined components ready for edgebanding and assembly.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Load, set up, and operate CNC nesting routers to execute cut sheets efficiently.
• Material Handling: Safely handle and inspect high-grade hardwoods, plywoods, and melamine sheets to prevent surface defects or scratching.
• Quality Assurance: Verify parts against cut lists and blueprints using calipers and tape measures; maintain tight tolerances for dowel, dado, and shelf-pin drilling.
• Tooling & Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance, monitor tool wear, replace router bits, and optimize vacuum suction/spoilboards.
• Workflow Optimization: Organize and label cut parts systematically for edgebanding and assembly teams.
• Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean work zone, operate dust extraction systems, and follow all safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience operating CNC machinery in a custom cabinetry, woodworking, or millwork environment.
• Experience with 3-axis CNC nesting routers (e.g., Biesse, Thermwood, Homag, SCM, or similar).
• Ability to read shop drawings, cabinet cut lists, and nested sheet diagrams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently and stand for extended periods.
