Trace-A-Matic in Brookfield, WI is hiring a 2nd Shift CNC Operator to perform operation and setup of complex machined components across industries. The role requires 2+ years of machining experience, measurement proficiency, and a solid math background.

You will read blueprints, adjust offsets, and collaborate with seasoned machinists to ensure quality parts. This is a full-time position offering growth, with relocation assistance if needed.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or CNC technical diploma preferred.
• 2+ years of machining experience.
• Proficiency in measuring equipment for respective work performed.
• Solid math skills.
• Strong mechanical interest/aptitude.
• Willingness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine tools and perform offset adjustments to ensure parts meet print specifications using written setup instructions.
• Perform repetitive machining tasks with consistency and quality.
• Read and interpret blueprints, correlate specifications with inspection protocols and documentation requirements.
• Assist in setup of machine tools under guidance of experienced machinists.
• Apply foundational machining techniques and control functions to support production operations.
• Run multiple machines within a production cell to maximize throughput.
• Utilize GD&T knowledge to support accurate part production.
• Mentor and train operators on repetitive machining tasks.
• Perform other duties to support team and production goals.

CNC Operator Job Overview

You would perform operation and setup of complex machined components for many different industries.

Essential job duties

• Operate machine tools and perform offset adjustments to ensure parts meet print specifications using written setup instructions.
• Perform repetitive machining tasks with consistency and attention to quality standards.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, correlating specifications with inspection protocols and documentation requirements.
• Assist in the setup of machine tools under the guidance of experienced machinists.
• Apply foundational knowledge of machining techniques and control functions to support production operations.
• Run multiple machines simultaneously within a production cell to maximize throughput.
• Utilize working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to support accurate part production.
• Mentor and train operators on repetitive machining tasks to promote skill development and process consistency.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support team and production goals.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A Highschool diploma/CNC technical diploma preferred
• 2+ years of machining experience
• Proficiency in required measuring equipment for respective work performed
