Job summary

MooreCo Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator to join our Temple, TX manufacturing team. You will examine parts, measure for spec conformance, set up machines, start operations, record data, and help maintain safe, efficient production processes on a non-climate-controlled shop floor.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of related experience, strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to work overtime as needed. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to safely and effectively use machines.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must wear PPE (personal protective equipment).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Willing and able to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

Salary Range: $18.00 To $20.00 Hourly

Job Title: CNC Operator

Location: Temple, TX

Reports To: Table Top Supervisor

Primary duties will include:

• Examine completed workpieces for defects
• Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications
• Set stops on machine beds and adjust components, such as rams or power presses, when making multiple or successive passes
• Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data
• Set up, operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten material
• Report all outages to supervisor
• Clean up during shift as needed to be safe at the end
• Set the highest ethical standards for self and others.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of related experience
• Ability to safely and effectively use machines
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Strong attention to detail
• Must wear required PPE (personal protective equipment)
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Must be willing and able to work overtime as required

Preferred education:

• High School diploma is preferred, GED required.
• We will consider additional experience in lieu of diploma

The essential physical & environmental requirements of the position are:

• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environment, heat and cold.
• Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Ability to stand prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to hear sounds and differentiate between them.
• Ability to visually understand distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and have color vision.
