Job summary

Sportsman Boats is seeking a CNC operator to run CNC machines for material cutting and assembly in a marine manufacturing setting. The role supports production goals while ensuring safety and quality throughout a Monday–Thursday shift.

You will handle material transport, inspection, and documentation of parts, with potential overtime based on needs. Candidates should have at least 1 year of CNC operator experience, proficient use of small hand tools, and knowledge of cutting, sewing, upholstery,

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of CNC operator experience in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
• Experience using small hand tools.
• Knowledgeable in material cutting, sewing, upholstery, and foam assembly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to follow schedules.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision.
• Advanced verbal communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform CNC operations meeting daily and weekly production goals while maintaining high-quality standards
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures
• Transport materials to different areas of the CNC shop
• Perform inspection of machined products and document results
• Complete and maintain paperwork for parts
• Assist in other work areas in upholstery department as needed

Job description

Sportsman Boatsis looking for aCNC operatorresponsible for the operation of the CNCmachines to cut materials while meeting production goals and high-quality standards. Our schedule is Monday - Thursday 5:00 am - 3:45 pm. There may be opportunities for overtime based on production needs.

• Performall assigned CNC operations meeting daily and weekly production goals while maintaining high-quality standards

• Maintainthe work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures
• Transport materials to different areas of the CNC shop

Requirements:

• Minimum one year of experience as a CNC operator in a fast-paced manufacturing facility
• Experience using small hand tools
• Knowledgeable in the areas of material cutting, sewing, upholstery, and foam assembly
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to follow schedules
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision
• Advanced verbal communication skills
• Advanced time management and organizational skills
• High School diploma or equivalent

PreferredExperience:

• Experience working with wood, leather, fiberglass, and vinyl in the marine industry
• Experience using the Eastman, Axyz, 3-Axis, or 5 Axis and Router systems

This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. This role routinely wears protective clothing and masks.
