The role involves setting up CNC routers and beam saws, feeding materials, and ensuring tight tolerances through careful inspection and adjustments. Candidates should have 2–3 years of CNC experience, strong math and measurement skills, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment while maintaining safety and quality

Summary Of Position

ProCraft Cabinetry Chicago is seeking a skilled and dependable CNC Machine Operator with experience operating edge banding machinery. The ideal candidate will understand edge banding operations, machine setup, and troubleshooting, and will be capable of operating a beam saw, CNC router, and edge banding equipment in a production environment. This position involves repetitive, short-cycle machining operations, including cutting, routing, laminating, and edge banding products to precise specifications and tight tolerances. The successful candidate will maintain high standards of quality, productivity, and workplace safety.

Essential Job Responsibilities And Abilities

• Review work orders, blueprints, drawings, and production specifications to determine machining requirements and materials needed.
• Set up, program, and operate CNC routers, beam saws, and edge banding machines according to production requirements.
• Load, position, and secure materials properly to ensure accurate and efficient machine operation.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as needed to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
• Operate and troubleshoot edge banding machines, ensuring proper adhesive application, edge alignment, trimming, and finishing.
• Inspect finished products and verify dimensions, accuracy, and quality according to established standards.
• Identify and resolve common machine issues, replace worn tools, and report equipment malfunctions when necessary.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and follow all safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records and communicate equipment issues, material needs, and production updates to supervisors and team members.
• Keep machines, tools, and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow production schedules and quality standards while maintaining consistent productivity.
• Participate in training and continuously improve machine operation and troubleshooting skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2–3 years of CNC machining/programming experience required.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move 35-50 pounds.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Experience with CNC routers, beam saws, and edge banding machines preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cabinet-making experience.
• Beam Saw, CNC router, or Edge banding experience.

Compensation

$20-25 per hour (Hourly, Non-Exempt).

Work Shift

Monday to Friday; 8:00 AM -4:30 PM. We also provide overtime weekly.

Full-Time; On-Site.
