Job description

*Title: CNC Operator*

*Location: Grand Rapids MI*

*Salary: Starting pay up to $22 per hour*

*Shift: 4 x 10's plus 10 hours overtime available every week*

*Start Date: Immediate Hire! Start tomorrow!*

*Responsibilities:*

The successful candidate will work in a CNC work cell consisting of two 5 x 12 nested base routers. Candidate will operate the cell with a team member. It will also be expected that operator learns additional equipment and production tasks in order to move with the flow of the production work load. It is expected that the equipment be well maintained and taken care off. They will also be expected to trouble shoot machine issues that may arise. The operator will monitor tooling needs, submitting tooling purchase request, and send out tooling to be sharpened. They must maintain their work area, machinery, and tools in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion and assist in other work areas when the workload permits or as required.

*Qualifications:*

Experience working with CNC routers.

Knowledge of tooling

Experience conducting routine PM tasks

Familiarity with G code and other software experience with Alphacam or Fanuc controls a plus

Experience working with wood panels, plastic laminates, and veneers is a plus

Ability to read prints and verify components are correct

Ability to safely load raw materials onto machine bed without damage

Ability to monitor quality of work using prints, tolerances, and various measuring devices.

Ability to take direction and follow instructions given by supervisors

Ability to work both individually and in team settings

Ability to lift at least 50-100 pounds

Ability to work overtime as required
