Overview

The CNC operator routes all the components required to build exhibits and displays using a CNC machine. The candidate must be a reliable worker with a solid work ethic and can operate a CNC and related equipment precisely. The ideal candidate must be highly detail-oriented while still working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. They should also display excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well as a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with CAD, DXF, DWG files, and CNC programming software
• Calculating dimensions to route-cutting sheets of different materials
• Find efficiencies for dimensioning and cutting
• Assembly of components
• Sharpening & ordering tooling and supplies for CNC work
• Keep the CNC running in good condition by performing weekly maintenance
• Assist in building exhibits and displays

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Ability to read blueprints
• Experience using CNC machines (minimum one year)
• Open to train the right candidate
• Excellent computer skills
• CAD user is a plus
