Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Berea, OH, is seeking a CNC mill/lathe operator to interpret instructions, set controls, and troubleshoot production programs.

You will measure parts with precision gauges, deburr components, and ensure safety compliance while supporting flexible setups and overtime as needed. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of CNC experience, strong measurement skills, and basic computer proficiency.

Qualifikationen

• 1-3 years’ experience as CNC mill/lathe operator preferred
• Experience verifying dimensions of parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, depth gauges, and fixed gauges
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to perform basic math
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Flexibility in work assignments
• Must be able to continuously perform grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking
• Must be able to stand 8-10 hours daily
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 70 lbs. with assistance
• Must be able to work daily and weekly overtime as required
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required

• Reads and interprets work instructions, prints, and job orders for product specifications and tooling instructions
• With assistance, troubleshoots, edits, and optimizes new production programs to ensure efficient production
• Calculates and sets machine controls to specific work orders and regulate cutting depth, speed, feed, and coolant flow
• Documents new program changes and processes to ensure setups can be duplicated and production time is optimized
• Observes machine operation and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications using gauges
• Deburrs parts to meet blueprint specifications
• Follows all safety policies and procedures
• Sets up machines on a flexible basis to ensure optimum output
• Performs other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets work instructions, prints, and job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions
• With assistance, troubleshoots, edits, and optimizes new production programs to ensure efficient overall production
• Calculates and sets machine controls to specific work orders and regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed and coolant flow

• Deburr parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications

• Setup machines on a flexible basis to ensure optimum output throughout the shop
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must be able to continuously perform grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking
• Must be able to handle continuous standing 8-10 hours daily
• Must be able to perform frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 70 lbs. with assistance
• Must be able to work daily and weekly overtime as required
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required
