Job summary

Ameriscan Designs is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for the 6:00AM - 2:30PM shift to support our millwork production.

You will load programs, set up machines, read blueprints, inspect parts, and collaborate with the team to ensure quality and safety while meeting production goals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient reading and interpretation of shop drawings and architectural blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine operation.
  • Experience working with particle board, MDF, plywood and solid surface materials.
  • Ability to use measuring tools and accurately interpret measurements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Load and execute CNC programs to cut particle board, MDF, plywood and solid surface materials according to project specs.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring accurate and efficient production of millwork components.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings and architectural blueprints to verify cut dimensions.
  • Inspect finished components for quality and accuracy, adjusting as necessary to meet standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues during the CNC machining process.
  • Cross train across departments as needed.

We are hiring a CNC Machine Operator for the 6:00AM - 2:30PM shift.

Core duties and responsibilities for the CNC Operator include the following:
  • Load and execute CNC programs to cut particle board, MDF, plywood, and solid surface materials according to project specifications.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring accurate and efficient production of millwork components.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings and architectural blueprints to verify cut dimensions.
  • Inspect finished components for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary to maintain Ameriscan Designs' standards of excellence.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning and lubricating equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Handle materials safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading materials from CNC machines.
  • Identify and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the CNC machining process.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve CNC programming and machining techniques.
  • Cross train throughout departments as needed.

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training or certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Operator in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with specific CNC software and hardware used by Ameriscan Designs (Komo/Fanuc Control, Weeke/MCC, Homag/MCC)
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
