  • Collaborate with engineering, production and quality teams to improve efficiency.
  • Assist with cross-functional tasks as needed.

Description

The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to manufacture precision-machined parts according to specifications, for final assembly. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read blueprints and technical documents to ensure the highest level of accuracy and quality. The ideal candidate will have experience in machine operation, tool adjustments, and troubleshooting, with a focus on maintaining production efficiency, accuracy and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts according to technical drawings and work orders
  • Load raw materials and adjust machine settings for precise production runs
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy using measuring instruments
  • Monitor machine performance during production runsPerform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot issues as needed
  • Maintain detailed production records and complete necessary documentation
  • Follow safety procedures and operational guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
  • Ensure a clean and organized work area in compliance with company standards
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, production, and quality teams to optimize efficiency
  • Assist with cross-functional tasks

  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; CNC training or certification preferred
  • Previous experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift materials up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Work Environment & Conditions

This position is based in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to noise, lubricants, metal shavings, and moving machinery. It requires standing, lifting, bending, and handling materials for most of the shift. Manual dexterity is essential for operating equipment and inspecting parts. PPE, including safety glasses, gloves and steel-toes footwear is required in designated work areas. Work is performed both independently and as part of a team with shifting priorities based on production needs.
