FurstStaffing is seeking a CNC machinist for the 2nd shift with a 4-week training period on the 1st shift based on skill level. Operates Okuma milling machines, sets up long- and short-term production, and ensures parts meet blueprint specs and company quality standards.
The role requires reading, editing, and writing Fanuc G-code programs, analyzing blueprints, and working with tight tolerances of ±0.001. You will collaborate with teammates to maintain output and quality.
CNC Okuma machinist on the 2nd shift, with a 4-week training period on the 1st shift based on skill level. Operates and sets up CNC horizontal and vertical milling machines to meet tight tolerances. Ensures all parts meet blueprint specifications and company quality standards.
Set up and operate CNC horizontal and vertical milling machines
Verify product meets blueprint specifications and company quality standards
Perform complete set-ups for long- and short-term production
Read, write, and edit G-code programs
Analyze job orders, blueprints, and specifications to calculate dimensions, tool selection, and machine speeds
Work with tight tolerances (+0.001)
Use GD&T for dimensional accuracy
Operate complex tooling as required
Complete first and last piece inspections per company procedure
Assist co-workers and support team environment
Meet or exceed production and quality standards
Perform additional duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of machine operating experience (Okuma) or related experience
Minimum 3 years of reading, editing, and writing Fanuc control
Experience reading and following blueprints and proven knowledge of appropriate measuring devices

You have 5+ years operating Okuma CNC machines. Proficient in reading, editing, writing Fanuc G-code programs. Skilled at interpreting blueprints and achieving ±0.001 tolerances
