Job summary

thyssenkrupp rothe erde is seeking a CNC Machinist for the 1st shift to operate a machining center and ensure parts meet drawings and specifications. You will plan machining sequences, manage tool setups, and verify quality against GD&T standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, prior machining experience, and familiarity with Fanuc or Siemens controls. A strong focus on accuracy, housekeeping, and continuous improvement is expected.

Job description

Wage: $32.47 / hour

This is a 1st shift position.

Position Summary: Perform physical operations of a machining center. Organize workflow and plan machining sequences. Meet inspection requirements for compliance to drawings and specifications. This is a 1st shift position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Through monitoring and measurement, assure that products meet customer expectations
• Plan machining by having understanding of assets and related equipment
• Understand all GD&T requirements for any given process
• Machine setup along with program downloading and editing
• Asset knowledge of Fanuc or Siemens interface and the knowledge to navigate the control to improve operations
• Understanding of tooling, knowledge of turning and drilling tools
• Maintain work cell to premium standards

Team Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Calibrate and ensure proper use and care of inspection and test equipment.
• Maintain work area in compliance with good housekeeping practices and 6s principles.
• Comply with quality assurance efforts within the company, such as populating the proper documentation with the correct quality checks in ledgable and clean fashion
• Provide feedback for C.I. and any issues necessary for compliance
• Make and populate Daily T.P.M. / 6s operator interface checks.
• Collect quality target data for reporting by CNC Machining Cell as defined.
• Participate in company promoted events such as 6s, TPM and other operational C.I. programs.

Education and Skill Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous machining experience and practices
• Blueprint and GD&T knowledge
