Job description

CNC MILL MACHINIST

$2500 Signing Bonus - 50% paid after 30 days, balance paid after 90 days.

NIGHT SHIFT - 4 Day Schedule - Monday thru Thursday - 4:30pm-3:00am

10% Shift Differential

The CNC Mill Operator will be responsible for operating CNC machines to produce parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawing.

Job Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of machines to produce quality parts.
2. Knowledge of machining, tool specifications, and material characteristics to enable successful part production. Load/unload parts from the machine, measure, and inspect.
3. Accurately complete all quality control documentation and inspection sheets. Capable of verifying conformance of parts to specifications using precision measuring instruments and process control techniques including SPC.
4. Follow verbal and/or written instructions such as blueprints, traveler, work instructions, process specifications, sketches, and supervisor directions to complete machining and inspection tasks.
5. Work efficiently to achieve targeted goals and ensure product compliance with quality specifications.
6. Meet machine utilization and productivity goals daily, including verifying and recording cycle times.
7. Promptly start up machines at the beginning of shifts, run machines through breaks and lunch as applicable, and ensure smooth handoffs at shift change to keep machines running.
8. Report labor transactions accurately and timely, including clocking on and off jobs with production and setups, both direct and indirect labor activities.
9. Support and actively participate in 6S and continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Report immediately to the Group Leader and/or Manager if unable to meet goals.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Ability to read and interpret part drawings.
3. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and multitask across multiple machines.
4. Team player, open to new ideas, self-motivated, and eager to increase personal knowledge and value.
5. Above average manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
6. Intermediate math skills, especially in geometric and trigonometric formulas, are a plus.
7. Ability to perform visual inspections with a microscope on small parts with attention to detail.
8. Flexible, reliable, self-starting team player capable of working with minimal supervision and without conflict.
