Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Milling Machinist for the 2nd shift with a 10% shift differential. The role involves interpreting blueprints, setting up and operating CNC machines, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and routing requirements.
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures and accessories on machines.
  • Select, align, and install cutting tools and tool assemblies.
  • Load and secure raw materials on machines.
  • Set controls for manual operations; retrieve and download CNC programs.
  • Monitor machine operation, detect malfunctions, and adjust controls as needed.
  • Unload, deburr, and inspect finished parts for quality conformance.
  • Perform daily maintenance and housekeeping on equipment and work area.
  • Collaborate with engineers, programmers, inspectors, and maintenance staff to resolve issues.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; VoTech or trade school preferred.
  • Completion of a machining apprenticeship or 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals.
  • Proficiency with mathematical concepts and basic computer skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

The work involves exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels. Physical requirements include standing, handling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
