Job summary

Biztech Inc in Denville, New Jersey is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to setup and operate Horizontal & Vertical machining centers. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of CNC experience and strong G-Code knowledge, as well as a high school diploma or equivalent.

Roles and Responsibilities

Prime responsibilities include setup and operation of Horizontal & Vertical machining centers. Prior experience with these machines is mandatory.

Key duties & responsibilities of the CNC Machinist

• Understanding and knowledge of G‑Code with the ability to edit and/or make suggestions to improve existing programs.
• Work with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information that will continually improve the company and operations.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints and drawings, basic understanding of GD&T as well as the ability to work from verbal instructions.
• Understanding of how to use hand measuring tools like pin gages, micrometers, calipers, etc. to check parts produced.
• Must inspect the first piece of a job set‑up, verifying and measuring all features to be in tolerance prior to inspection. Adjustments are made as necessary and the part is submitted for first‑article approval.
• Must enter accurate time for all jobs run via ERP system, working with production planning to ensure it is done properly.
• Required to have a full set of personal tools to perform all tasks of the job function.
• Demonstrate practical knowledge of Good Machining Practices (GMP).
• Maintain and provide support to all 5‑S program initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with workplace policies according to safety objectives and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Equivalent to a complete, accredited, indentured apprenticeship or equivalent to high school plus a 2‑year technical school.
• Dependable and a great attitude.

Required Experience

• CNC Machinist: 5 years
