Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Milling Machinist to join our Minnesota-based precision manufacturing team. Set up and operate CNC milling machines, read blueprints, and produce high-precision components with tight tolerances.

You will work closely with engineering and quality to ensure first‑piece and in‑process inspections, develop programs (Mastercam a plus), and contribute to continuous improvement in a stable, full‑time role with great benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC milling experience.
• Strong experience performing complete machine setups.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of machining practices, tooling, speeds, feeds, and tolerances.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Mastercam programming experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, speeds, and feeds.
• Perform machine offsets and tool changes.
• Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet dimensional and quality requirements.
• Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues.
• Complete first‑piece and in‑process inspections.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Follow company safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
• Work closely with engineering, quality, and shop leadership to complete jobs accurately and efficiently.
