Job summary

Elgen Staffing is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Setup Operator in Pittsburgh to join a premier metals shop. You will set up and run Horizontal and Vertical Machining Centers, edit on-machine programs, and work with operators to ensure efficient, quality production.

The ideal candidate has about 5 years of experience, knowledge of G and M codes, and a solid understanding of milling tooling. A 4th axis is a plus; immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years of setup and operation on Horizontal and Vertical Machining Centers.
• 4th axis experience is a plus.
• Must be able to edit programs at the machine.
• Strong understanding of milling tooling.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to convey work instructions to operators.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run Horizontal and Vertical Machining Centers.
• Edit programs at the machine as needed; primary programming done offline.
• Convey work instructions to operators and supervise workflow.
• Troubleshoot setups and ensure quality during machining.

CNC Mill Setup Operator

Our client, a previsions metals manufacturer and machine shop, has an immediate need for an experienced CNC Mill Setup Operator, to join their winning team in Pittsburgh.

Key responsibilities / requirements

• You should have about 5 years of experience setting up and running Horizontal and Vertical Machining Centers. Knowledge of 4th axis is a plus.
• CNC Machine tools that they will used are Okuma, Mori Seiki, Kitamura, and Haas.
• Must be able to edit programs at the machine. Main programming duties will be performed by the CNC programmer off line.
• A strong understanding of G and M codes is a must.
• A strong knowledge of milling tooling is required.
• Ability to problem solve is a must.
• Must be able to convey work instructions to operators and work with them in a positive manner.
