Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Programmer/Machinist to lead programming from 3D models or drawings through setup, prove-out and production. You will independently program with Autodesk Inventor/Fusion CAM, select tooling, establish work holding, and conduct first-article inspections to ensure high-quality parts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience programming and operating CNC milling machines with Fanuc controls.
• Hands-on experience with Autodesk Inventor/Fusion CAM software.
• Strong understanding of CNC milling processes, tooling, work holding, feeds and speeds.
• Ability to set up machines independently and prove out programs.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience using precision inspection equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to own jobs from programming to finished part.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC milling machines using Autodesk Inventor CAM.
• Set up and operate CNC milling machines using Fanuc controls.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T, and specs.
• Develop efficient toolpaths and select tooling, feeds and speeds.
• Set up machines with workholding, tooling, offsets, coordinates.
• Load, prove out, troubleshoot, and modify CNC programs.
• Operate mills and monitor machining processes in production.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers and micrometers.
