Velosity CMD is hiring an experienced CNC Mill Programmer on 2nd shift to support our Forest Lake, MN facility. The role covers setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC milling machines to produce precision components.

The base pay range is $28.50-$42.75/hour with a 5% quarterly bonus and a $3,000 sign-on bonus. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) match, PTO, holidays, and parental leave.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.General Studies.
• Certificate-Machine Trades or equivalent work experience: Preferred.
• Valid identification and ability to work legally in the United States.
• 3 years experience operating CNC milling machines and programming them.
• Proficiency in CNC programming and operation, milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Able to use a computer, calculator, and read/write English, shop math.
• Familiarity with MasterCam X for back plotting and dimension measurement.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC milling machines with correct attachments and parts.
• Operate and monitor machines to ensure proper running.
• Enter instructions into CNC equipment based on blueprints and work orders; use Mastercam to program.
• Identify and resolve programming/operational issues for smooth production.
• Inspect finished products to ensure specifications; maintain equipment.

Velosity CMD is hiring an experienced CNC Mill Programmer on 2nd shift to support our manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN. A CNC Mill Programmer is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC milling machines to produce precision components.

The typical pay range for this role: $28.50-$42.75/hour. This role is also eligible for a 5% quarterly bonus target.

*This role is eligible for a $3,000 sign on bonus. Agency candidates and internal candidates are not eligible for this bonus.

This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up CNC milling machines with the correct attachments and parts to perform the job. Operate and monitor the machines to ensure they are running correctly.
• Enter instructions into the CNC equipment based on blueprints, plans, and work orders. Use software like Mastercam to program the machines.
• Identify and resolve issues with machine programming or operation to ensure smooth production.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and maintain the equipment to keep it in good working order.
• Work closely with engineers, project managers and other team members to meet production goals.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Certification:

• High School Diploma/GED-General Studies

• Proficiency in CNC programming and operation, particularly milling machines.

• Able to use a computer, calculator, read and write in English and do shop Math
• Familiarity with MasterCam X (ability to back plot programs, and measure dimensions).

This is a non-smoking, professional tool shop with normal lighting, climate control. The shop environment may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in a tool making and/or molding shop.
