Job summary

Joyce/Dayton Corp. CNC Mill Operator II is a full-time position on the 3rd shift at our United States facilities. You will safely and efficiently machine parts to close tolerances per process sheets and blueprints, with supervision from the Production Supervisor.

The role requires 3 years of CNC mill experience, careful setup and editing of programs, and a proactive approach to process improvements across Dayton, Portland (IN) and Clayton facilities.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of proven CNC Mill experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and process sheets.
• Ability to edit CNC programs and troubleshoot.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hand-tools knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Work to close tolerances (eg. .0002”) and machine metals to spec.
• Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine operations.
• Edit and refine CNC programs for improvements and troubleshooting.
• Set up and operate CNC mill with proper tooling and fixtures.
• Inspect first run and subsequent parts for conformance.
• Monitor fluid levels and machine performance; adjust as needed.
• Study job packets to reduce cycle and setup time.
• Cross-train on other plant machines as required.
• Identify process improvements and share ideas.
