Job summary

Joyce/Dayton Corp. is seeking a CNC Mill Operator I to safely and efficiently manufacture parts to close tolerances. You will read blueprints and process sheets, edit programs when needed, and set up and run CNC machines with supervision.

The role requires inspection of parts during production and adherence to quality specifications. The position is full-time, reports to the Production Supervisor, and involves standing for long periods while handling steel, stainless steel, and aluminum

Qualifications

• Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining requirements.
• Edit pre-written programs with supervision when necessary.
• Set up and operate CNC machines using set-up sheets and written instructions.
• Inspect first run piece and spot check succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Machine metals including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Inspect parts during production using precision measuring instruments.
• Study job packets and organize materials for next order during cycles to reduce cycle and setup time.
• Pre-set tools before positioning them in mill and set up and operate CNC machines during cycles.
