Job summary

Adecco is currently assisting a local customer in their search for a CNC Mill Operator in Fenton, MO. This role offers a 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday, with a pay rate of $27.00 per hour and weekly pay. You will setup, operate, and monitor CNC mills, read blueprints, and verify parts using micrometers and calipers.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of CNC experience. The position includes access to Adecco perks and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of CNC experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and job orders.
• Ability to read micrometers/calipers and measure parts.
• Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
• Ability to stand most of the shift and lift up to 25 lb.

Responsibilities

• Setup, layout and operate various CNC lathes and/or mills.
• Read blueprint or job order for product specifications and tooling instructions.
• Select, position and secure tools in holders.
• Position and secure work piece in holding devices and fixtures.
• Move controls to position tool and work piece, set feeds, speeds and depth of cut.
• Set up fixture, start machine and monitor operation.
• Read precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
• Observe machine output and verify conformance to specifications.
• Keep work area clean and orderly; follow safety policies.
• Discuss diagram or production order issues with supervisor or engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Setup, layout and operate various CNC lathes and/or mills
• Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances and tooling instructions such as fixtures, cutting speeds, depth of cut and determines sequence of operations.
• Selects, positions, and secures tool in tool holder.
• Positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers or fixtures.
• Moves controls to position tool and work piece in relation to each other, and to set specified feeds, speeds and depth of cut.
• Sets up fixture, starts machine.
• Requires ability to read precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
• Observes operation of machine and verifies conformity of machined work piece to specifications.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly
• Follows all Company rules and safety policies.
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.

Core Competency Requirements:

• Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools.
• Adjusts, trim and fitting parts to close tolerances.
• Follows visual aids (standard work) to ensure work is correct.
• May perform testing of assembled product.
• Make up cartons, print labels, insert protective packing material, seal finishing product.
• Meet efficiency rates.
• Perform quality checks to ensure quality specifications are met.
• Work within all safety guidelines and wear all required PPE (steel toe shoes, hearing protection and safety glasses).
• Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor or team leader.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition - 5S.
• Must be flexible to rotate job assignments within various work cells.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervision

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ yrs of previous CNC experience preferred
• Ability to add and subtract/basic math.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to lift up to 25lb.
• Ability to stand 90% of shift.
