Job summary

Durex Industries is hiring a CNC Operator in Cary, IL to prepare and set up machines for highly precision-machined parts. You will operate turning centers and milling centers, verify parts and document actions.

Join our team in a role that requires reading blueprints, using calipers and micrometers, and maintaining safety/quality standards. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read calipers, micrometers, indicators, edge finder and blueprints.
• Basic understanding of CNC controls and cutting tools.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Ability to deburr and handle parts to customer requirements.
• Work independently.
• Safety/quality minded.

• Able to effectively communicate with employees, departments and management.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates highly precision-machined parts by operating turning centers and milling centers per work orders, routers & blueprints.
• Set-up close tolerance and conventional equipment by studying drawings, samples, blueprints, and manuals, installing computerized instructions.
• Documents actions by signing-off and completing forms, reports, logs ands and records
• Performs quality tests and operational checks.
• Verifies parts by using precision measuring equipment.
• May be assigned additional tasks as needed.
