Job summary

Laborup in the Tuscaloosa area is seeking dependable CNC Mill Operators to join an established machining team. Openings on both first and second shift, direct hire, full-time, with room to grow.

You will operate CNC milling equipment, inspect parts, and take ownership of your machine and production during the shift. You’ll work with an experienced team, gain exposure to setup, tooling, troubleshooting, offsets, and programming as you progress.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC mill or machining-center experience preferred
• Ability to operate independently once a job is set up
• FANUC control experience is a plus
• Experience with common CNC equipment (SMART, Hyundai WIA, Mazak, Haas, Doosan/DN, Okuma) is transferable
• Comfortable using calipers; micrometer experience is a plus
• Basic blueprint-reading ability preferred
• Mechanically inclined with good troubleshooting instincts
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Comfortable taking ownership of your machine and the quality of your parts

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills and vertical machining centers
• Load parts and keep machines running safely and efficiently
• Inspect parts using calipers and other measuring equipment
• Complete first-piece and in-process quality checks
• Read and follow basic blueprints, work instructions, and production documentation
• Monitor machine performance and part quality
• Make basic offsets, tooling changes, or adjustments within your experience level
• Maintain production expectations and keep your work area organized
• Stay productive during machine cycles and downtime
• Work with experienced machinists to develop additional setup, troubleshooting, and programming skills

Job description

We are looking for dependableCNC Mill Operators to join an established machining team in the greater Tuscaloosa area. Openings are available on both first and second shift.

This is a great opportunity for someone with CNC machining experience who wants steady, full-time work and the opportunity to continue building their skills. You'll operate CNC milling equipment, inspect your own parts, and take ownership of your machine and production throughout the shift.

The shop has an experienced machining team and a strong track record of developing people internally. Operators who demonstrate reliability, mechanical ability, and a willingness to learn can gain exposure to machine setup, tooling, troubleshooting, offsets, and CNC programming as they progress.

Pay:

$18–$25/hour, based on CNC experience and ability

Available Shifts:

• 1st Shift:Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• 2nd Shift:Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM
