Job summary

American Precision Industries, Inc. in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a CNC Mills Machinist to run vertical CNC mills and load/change parts in a small-cell environment, producing parts to blueprints under supervision.

Non-exempt (hourly)

Pay

\$28/hr.+ DOE, plus shift differential and monthly bonus program is paid when company-wide monthly sales goal is reached (full-time).

Schedule

Monday - Thursday 4:15PM to 2:45AM

PRIMARY PURPOSE

Run vertical CNC Mill and/or load and change out parts on CNC Mill Cells to produce product according to blueprints under the supervision of Senior Machinists.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

This job typically requires 6 months - 1 year experience operating CNC Vertical Mills or Horizontal Cell, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and a basic knowledge of machining. This job requires the use of precision measuring tools, 500# hoist and automatic drills or screwdrivers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Run CNC mills or assigned machining cells by loading raw material, changing out parts, and following setup sheets and work instructions.
  • Inspect first-article parts using appropriate measurement tools and submit to Quality Control when required.
  • Machine parts to blueprint specifications, verifying dimensions and tolerances throughout the run to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform secondary operations such as tapping, deburring, cleaning, and part finishing as needed.
  • Carry out additional machining or production tasks as assigned to support workflow and production goals.
