Job summary

Frontier Technologies in Theodore, AL, is hiring a CNC Machinist II to independently set up and operate CNC milling machines producing precision metal components. This role requires interpreting complex blueprints, selecting tooling, and optimizing speeds and feeds to meet tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of CNC experience, strong measurement skills, and fluency in English. The position offers full-time hours on-site with competitive benefits and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years CNC Machinist experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Experience with lathes, mills, plasma machines, and small hand tools.
• Knowledge of conventional, CNC, and advanced manufacturing techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T requirements.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision metal parts per work orders and blueprints.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and machining instructions.
• Plan machining operations, tooling, and fixtures for each job.
• Install and align fixtures, tooling, and raw materials for production.
• Review and edit CNC programs and adjust offsets, speeds, and feeds.
• Perform inspections and ensure parts meet dimensional tolerances and surface finishes.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment.
