Job summary

PLI Manufacturing, a unit of Phoenix Defense, is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist for day shift to support aerospace/defense fabrication. You will set up, run, and adjust 3-,4-, and 5-axis mills, interpret aerospace blueprints, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances.

We value self-motivated, team-oriented individuals who can work with minimal supervision and maintain 5-S standards. Requires 7+ years of experience and proficiency with Heidenhain, Fanuc, and Haas controls.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or production.
• Experience with CNC machining techniques and methods, including 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills.
• Experience using Heidenhain, Fanuc, and Haas CNC controls.
• Ability to read and interpret aerospace blueprints.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust CNC machine tools to perform standard sequences.
• Run more than one unit simultaneously.
• Check parts for conformance to specifications.
• Maintain, implement, and improve 5-S Principles.
• Perform regular department housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Sustain production standards and quality.
• Recognizes, deploys, and properly uses inserts, fixtures, and tooling.
• Performs daily and regular cleaning and light machine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required.
