Textron Systems: Lycoming Engines in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, is hiring a CNC Mill Machinist to set up and operate 3- and 4-axis milling machines, ensuring part quality and first article acceptance.

The role emphasizes training operators, reading blueprints and setup documentation, and maintaining tools and work area to safety and production standards. This is a full-time, first-shift position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience and/or training on CNC Machines.
• Must have experience in set-up and operation of 3 and 4 axis CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety data sheets, and operation manuals.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the set-ups and operation of all machines and processes, which comprise the cell to which he or she is assigned.
• Provide adequate training to operators as required.
• Utilizetool pre-setting equipment to set and adjust all tools as necessary.
• Must be able to make full offset adjustments as required to support first article inspection.
• Assist Tool Design in new fixture, program proofing and tooling setups, maintain and monitor process, program readouts, and setup during operation.
• Ability to follow drawings, operation sheets, tooling pre-set sheets, and other related set-up documentation.
• Perform assigned tasks to required quality and production standards.
• Analyze set-up and production problems and determine cause and corrective action.
• Maintain equipment, tools and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Perform cleaning required to maintain the immediate work area.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Prepare and/or maintain all necessary documentation.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
