Job description

Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist

We are seeking a full-time CNC Mill Machinist with at least 2 years of experience (or a recent technical school graduate) to operate Hurco and Haas mills. Our machinists are individual thinkers who continually seek better and faster methods to complete tasks.

Pay Range: Starts at $15/hr with no experience to $40/hr with over 25 years of experience.

Responsibilities:
  1. Program, set up, and operate Hurco & Haas CNC Mills.
  2. Maintain reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
  3. Understand basic G-Code and M-Code, follow instructions, and have machining experience in a custom job shop environment.
  4. Review prints, set up machines with appropriate tooling, program when necessary, use machine code, and measure parts accurately and efficiently.
  5. Be mechanically inclined, understand customer requirements, think creatively to solve problems, and complete tasks promptly.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum 2 years' experience or recent graduation from a technical school.
  2. Knowledge of machining in a custom job shop environment.
  3. Basic understanding of G-Code and M-Code, and ability to read prints.
  4. Ability to set up machines with proper tooling and programming skills.
  5. Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow directions.
  6. Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  7. Prefer candidates to have their own measuring tools.
  8. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance are required.
  9. Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs during setups.
  10. Fluent in English, both oral and written.
