Job summary

Industrial Automation Inc. in Seattle seeks a skilled CNC machinist to operate Haas 3- and 4-axis milling machines, producing parts from drawings for prototype and small-volume production. You will set up and inspect parts, read drawings, and collaborate with the CNC department to ensure proper fit, function, and quality.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–2:00 PM. Benefits include 401K with employer match, medical, vision, dental, paid vacation and holidays. Candidates must be U.S. Persons.

Qualifications

• Good math skills beyond basic shop math (geometry/algebra/trigonometry).
• 3–5 years CNC Mill experience (HAAS 3 Axis) with setup and offsets.
• Ability to read drawings and tolerances; read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up on HAAS 3-axis/4-axis milling machines as assigned.
• Program and set up sheets; verify dimensions at each operation.
• Read drawings and planning notes prior to part manufacture.
• Maintain clean, organized work area; respect equipment.

Compensation

Pay Range: $35.00-$40.00/hour depending on experience.

Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for set-up on 3 axis HAAS vertical machine as assigned by Production Management team.
• Work to program and set-up sheets.
• Verify dimensions at every operation.
• Read and Interpret Drawings and Planning notes, before making a part.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Show respect for equipment and tools.

Requirements

• Good math skills (above basic machine shop math; preference is knowing geometry, algebra and/or trigonometry).
• 3to 5 years of CNC Mill(Preferred HAAS 3 Axis Vertical) experience, including set-ups, setting tools, and offsets; and/or equivalent education working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use and read precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read commercial and/or military and shop blueprints, diagrams and/or schematics.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge working with various metals: aluminum, steel, titanium to name a few.
• Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School graduation or GED required.
• Respect and commitment to the job and for coworkers.
• Problem solving abilities.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Steel or composite toed shoes complying with current revision of ASTM F-2413.
