CNC Mill/Lathe Setup/Operator - 2nd Shift

Description

Our team relies on cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art systems to serve as your trusted partner for contract manufacturing of high-tolerance precision machined parts. We are looking to expand our 2nd shift staff!

Department: CNC Department

Location: Global Precision Products

Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 / hour

Position Overview: Machinists perform varied machining operations, analyze engineering blueprints, specifications, and instructions to operate all CNC Machine Tools. Machine list includes Star Swiss, Doosan, Eurotech, Haas Vertical, Makino Horizontal, and Vertical.

Shift Details: 2nd shift: Monday – Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM, four 10-hour days, overtime optional, with a 10% shift premium.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and operate CNC equipment.
2. Adjust machines to meet quality standards.
3. Follow manufacturing practices and safety guidelines.
4. Use hand tools, power tools, and machines safely.
5. Load parts, operate controls, set offsets, perform simple edits, deburr, and inspect parts.
6. Interpret drawings, manuals, and specifications.
7. Keep work area clean and perform basic preventative maintenance.
8. Maintain quality records.
9. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years related experience.
• Technical/trade school training or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of computer operations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience in aerospace and medical-grade components manufacturing is a plus.
